Hi. It’s me. Back again after not coming back after the last one. Sorry!
Anyway, I’m here to chat about OPI’s latest offering… the Most Requested Collection released just a few days ago by Ulta.
You should have heard the scream I scrumpt when I happened upon this collection the day it went live. Divine providence that I happened to be perusing the Ulta website that day? Maybe!
The OPI Most Requested Collection is two things – a revival of some of OPI’s very popular discontinued shades AND a continuation of the New OPIcons Collection that came out in the spring. Six shades coming back and six shades that are re-imaginations of existing (still in production) polishes.

*Lincoln Park After/At Midnight is both a re-imagination AND an ‘OG Back from the Vault’ as it was originally released in 2006 (or 2007, accounts seem to differ for some reason). It is also listed as Lincoln Park At Midnight and Lincoln Park After Midnight in some promo material, and it seems like the OG shade used At so…?
I didn’t pick up the re-imagined shades this time, but I did order the six returning shades. In fact, Every Month is Oktoberfest (which I am now seeing is misspelled in this promo image?! OPI, who is making these images and do you need to hire someone else?) and Lincoln Park At Midnight were both on my wishlist before this collection dropped.
I also purchased a 2004 bottle of It’s All Greek to Me a few months ago, so I can’t wait to compare it to the new release!
I am so happy OPI seems to be getting back in touch with its roots and appealing to the nostalgia that comes with being a nearly 40-year-old brand. They even released a proper ‘Brights’ collection this summer called Trip To The Brite Side! Something they haven’t done since 2015 (or 2022 if you count the Power of Hue Collection as ‘brights’ which I guess you could).

I’m praying, wishing, hoping that this is a trend that continues for OPI and I can’t wait to see what they come out with this fall.
I will be back to share swatches of the returning shades soon, pinky promise! And I guess I do technically owe you swatches of the New OPIcons Collection as well…
Until next time,
Katie
